Building her beauty business slowly and steadily through word of mouth long before the age of social media, Michelle has journeyed from mobile therapist and working in other salons to proudly running Be Unique with her talented team in Old Cleeve.

Outside of her professional life, she is a devoted wife and mum of six, a proud nanna to one, and a loving caretaker of numerous animals. On the rare occasion she’s not in the salon, you might find her at the theatre, seeking a moment of peace and inspiration!​

Em is a talented nail technician with an eye for the latest nail trends, a passion for creativity, and exceptional skills. Whether you’re looking for intricate nail art, extensions, or beautifully manicured natural nails, she caters to your individual requirements with precision and flair.

In addition to her expertise in nails, Em is trained in a variety of beauty treatments, including brow lamination, lash lifts, and our exciting new permanent jewellery service, offering you a complete beauty experience all in one place.

With her warm and friendly personality, Em is an invaluable member of the Be Unique team. When she’s not creating beautiful nails at our West Somerset salon, you might find her living her best life in Ibiza!​

Courtney is Michelle’s daughter and a gifted beauty therapist in her own right. After training during lockdown, Courtney has continued to excel, offering a wide range of beauty services with precision and care.

Her favourite treatments include nail art, lash lifts and tints, spray tans, and microdermabrasion. Whether you're after beautiful nail art or stunning lashes, Courtney’s expertise ensures you'll leave feeling your very best.

Though she may not love driving (so if you meet her on the lane to the salon in Old Cleeve, she kindly asks you to reverse!), Courtney’s passion for beauty shines through in everything she does. Friendly, approachable, and committed to delivering outstanding results, she is a valued member of the Be Unique team.

Shell is the newest member of the BeUnique team, bringing a true passion for beauty & an unwavering dedication to exceptional client care. Her journey into beauty therapy began as a model for Michelle, our salon owner, where her enthusiasm for treatments sparked a career change. Now fully trained in nails, waxing, lash lifts, spray tanning, and our exciting new permanent jewellery service, Shell is a versatile and valuable asset to our team.

Shell’s favourite treatment to offer is pedicures—a rarity in the beauty industry but something she genuinely enjoys, setting her apart with a service that others often overlook. Her warm, friendly nature makes every appointment feel relaxed and enjoyable, and she’s always up for a good chat, ensuring that each client leaves feeling pampered and appreciated.

Outside the salon (when she's not enjoying a treatment herself,) Shell loves booking family holidays for quality time together. A final fun fact? She’s an avid Gonk collector, and her collection is as unique and wonderful as she is!
